At idle i have a rattle coming from my headliner. It has to be the most annoying thing in the world. I was wondering if anyone knew how to take out the headliner. This would be a godsend.

 

Try "massaging" it with your fingers. Maybe lightly hit it with the fleshy part of your hand

 

Today it finally drove me to snap. I went out to my car and tried to figure it out. It turns out it is the metal clips that hold the headliner in place. They rattle against the roof. I put some foam around each clip and poof no more rattle. Its such a relief to know that my car wont have that annoying rattle anymore every time i stop or idling.
