ive got a 00 RL. the guy that had it before me retrofitted his low beams so they run off halogens i want them back to HID. balast is still under the lights and from doing a lil research i found that all i need is the igniter and d2rs.

now on the back of the headlight assembly on a rl i saw at a junkyard there was the cover that holds the igniter do i need this cover or no?now to the top left of the cover(passenger lens) where the screw is there is a wire with like a connector plug on it that just looks like it plugs in the back of the assembly. now in my case the guy pulled the connector off the end of that wire and connected it to a halogen bulb. question is do i need this?
