'99 RL with 59,xxx miles

Hmmm....One instrument gauge light burned out and now the TCS light is on. What else is going to happen?

The owner's manual provides a method for resetting it and that worked for a couple of days but now it's back on.

Anything else that can be checked before making the recommended trip to the dealer?

 

Your ABS light isn't on is it? A lot of times the ABS wheel sensors will go bad and trigger the ABS light. If that happens, your TCS light will also come on. You should be able to jump the service connector (under the glove compartment) with a paper clip or wire which will flash the warning light a number of times. Search within the forums and you should find the official procedure.

 

Now the TCS light hasn't come on at all for the past two days. I'll keep an eye on it to see if itstays off.

have you had any other problems with your TCS?

 

None whatsoever. The light actually hasn't come on at all in the past couple of months, other than when first starting the car (bulb test).
