flashing car maintenance

started the car and for the first time i seen the car maintenance light. It flashes for about ten times and then disappears. anyone knows what it is?

Time to change your oil (and whatever else is in your owner's manual for your current mileage). Eventually (1500 miles I think) it will stop blinking and just stay on.

Yup. You can reset it, I don't remember the exact instructions but they're somewhere in RL section ramblings within the first few pages.

To reset it, press and hold both the Select and Reset buttons for 10-15 seconds while you turn the ignition to the second position (II).
