I had the OEM infintiy FX projector with clear len and they are much brighter than the FXR 2.0. Now for the FXR 3.0 then I don't know about that LOL. I think they only change the metal clip so you can see the blue tint cut off line.

Did you ever mod your FX projectors for any color? I did the washer spacing trick to my FXR's but the headlight lens on the RL really destroys the color. Kinda sucks but in the end these are a great upgrade over the last projectors. Should have them mounted and aligned tonight.

I tried to color mod them but it came out distorted. I think is the len on the headlight that prevent a sharp blue cut off line. Anyway, I don't think you need to color mod your projector because the FXR already came with this mod.

No I know haha. They had a nice little flicker of blue on the step right out of the box but I modded them a bit more.

Color modded:

Color modded behind the RLs lens
Eddie's build thread-k8xczxql.jpg

All I can really think to try is to restore my headlights but it won't yield much of a difference.

Check it out! My AC unit has leds in it now. I still haven't worked out how to light the LCD but I'm getting there. Don't use NEO leds in the AC unit. It sucks, hot spots, and the color is green. Use side emitting led strips instead. They create a much more even brighter light that looks great. I'd recommend using white as if you try to light the rear defrost button with blue it will be dim as blue can't pass through yellow.

I'm thinking some high powered blue leds will look really good behind the LCD as when the weak NEO white leds are used they suck and turn green.

Oh, very nice! Why it is blue for the two knobs? I thought you used white led. Can you provide the info. for the led and how did you powered its. It look like you cut some wires?!! Did you silicon it in place?

All three led strips I used are white. They pass through a blue filter (it was already there) and I guess the camera picks up on it more than in person. I figured it would be the best choice to go with white since it lights up the blue and red on the bottom of the knobs really nicely.

I don't have a photo on hand but I'll snag one of the wiring tomorrow for ya. The wires you see are just the led strips I didn't have to cut anywires but I did have to do some cutting of the plastic to allow for the strips to fit better. I liberally used hot glue on the inside to hold the leds exactly where I want them.

Radio? Navi Display Unit? How does the AC look when compared to the other two unmodified elements?

Yeah, it would be great if you provide us on how to wire the LED. Btw, can you measure the width and the height of your foglight. I'm planning to switch out the tsx foglight because it has a gap lol. I just want to know if the 99+ foglight will fit before I buy them. Thx.

Here's the wiring. It doesn't matter which you use as long as they aren't the three for the LCD since those power on at different times.
I used hot glue to hold the wires on the board:
Eddie's build thread-tjxjlwql.jpg

Fog light measurements: (may be slightly off as it was hard to measure)
Top Width: 6in
Bottom Width: 7in
Height: 4"

Thank you so much for providing the foglight measurement! From the provided pic. You just simply hot glued the wires into the base of the oem bulb connector? I'm surprising it works that way, I thought you have to solder them into the base. Is the LED rated at 12v? Maybe I should stop by autozone and pick up a led strip.

They are soldered as well. The hot glue was to make sure the solder isn't under stress. I should have worded it better, and yup those led strips are 12v ones. If you do get leds strips just make sure they are side emitting and I think 6" ones would work they'll just need cutting.

Haha didn't take long. First plan was for a Tab 2 but then the Nexus 7 dropped to 130 for a bit. So A nexus 7 is going in now. I want to use it as a media center for music and video. I also want to run torque on it for extra gauges.

Yeah what stopped me was integrating backup camera and relying on internet for maps etc.

Good luck on it man and don't give up.

I'm pretty confident I can do it. This is only my second time working with bondo so I'm gonna need my dads help for the finishing touches. I already have the power supply and some usb cables. The only component I'm missing is a proper aux adapter but I may invest in one of the pc hon2 adapters and cut it to work.

And don't worry about this nav unit it was a broken 2000+ model that a friend gave me. My 99 unit is still sitting in a box safe and sound. And besides my 99 unit needs a new HDD unit. If thats 150 and very outdated why not spend 200 and make a custom up to date media center.

Can't wait! I think I still have the pc hon2 harness, it is the one for the premium RL to bypass the Bose amp. Anyway, I just noticed that your RL have a resonator delete. Are you talking about the muffler resonator or the intake resonator? I just want to know how it sound like with the muffler resonator delete. I already had a intake resonator delete and it sound awesome

I did the intake resonator delete. The slightly deeper tone of the engine on accel sounds real nice. One thing I've noticed is during WOT from first to second you can faintly hear the air being pushed out the intake before the RPMs start climbing again. I could just be imagining things though.

Are you interested in selling the pc hon2 harness 3.5rlvtec?

Sure. It is still brand new. I bought it and found out that I did not needed. I'll try to upload the pic to see if it the right harness you want to get.

Bezel turned out great!

Eddie's build thread-got8yjv.jpg

Sadly the paint is more of a satin than a semi gloss. I think the AC / radio started out more of a satin and the oils given off by human hands seems to have added a bit of a gloss. Maybe after a while of having this installed it will start to take on a similar appearance.

I'm also fixing something I screwed up last summer.

Eddie's build thread-hjwfa1w.jpg
Now before you say why didn't I just strip the paint to reveal the chrome well I did try during the summer. I ended up with a nice chunk of chrome torn off. This is only in primer but I plan on painting it a really nice gloss black to go with the carbon fiber.

3 weeks to dead line so I gotta get moving...

The deadline is the end of spring break! I'm bored of looking at my car its much funner to drive it. I'm finishing up my tail lights today. I installed 48 amber superflux leds for my blinkers and they will act as sequential blinkers.

Eddie's build thread-vzpxyua.jpg

Did I mention they are BRIGHT

Eddie's build thread-mu5ezev.jpg

And on a side note I don't have the resources to convert the stock radio to led yet so that's gonna wait till summer. Tail lights should be done tonight hopefully.

I'm gonna be gone tomorrow and the day after so I'm hoping to have time to build one of the timer circuits tonight. If I do I will be sure to post a video here. I'm gonna look into lowering them maybe run them at 9v instead of 12v because they are bright enough when ran off a 9v battery.

And on yet another side note I spaced adding in a photo of how my shift plate came out:

Eddie's build thread-qivqqbx.jpg

Actually I should add in I finished my AC unit too:

Eddie's build thread-4n5yrl5.jpg

Pictures never do leds justice but the lcd is lit to match the key ring and all the buttons are a pure white. I'm probably forgetting some stuff so I may have more photos tonight.

For the lcd all you need is these:

https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-led/221/1008/

Pick the 3mm option and stay away from white. Also don't get the cheaper version these are wide angle which you need to prevent from having 3 hot spots. I'm not sure others colors might work, just be careful as there is a green filter the light passes through

Hope this helps!

Blinkers are "DONE"! They both are timed to a good speed and are fully functional. I'm using load resistors to create a load to keep them from flashing fast.

This creates a new problem as when I use my switch back led blinkers in the front they don't draw enough and now I gotta solve that. I think I'll just hide some 194 bulbs in the trunk for the load. One thing that worries me is the blinkers leaking so I'm going to remove the tails one last time to add a few extra coats of undercoating.

And of course here's a (shitty) video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm9fO...ature=youtu.be

I'll get a better one in the day as the iphone can't handle the intensity.

I'm taking the easy way out and am just auxing it into my stock radio. Some people take the Nexus 7 and completely turn them into radio replacements. It's probably possible if your willing to dedicate time haha.

I'm literally one wire away from installing my center console. I need to decide how I want it auxed in. I'd like to keep aux port in the center console but I need to think.
