Does it matter which Air filter to use

Hi
I just replaced my air filter for my 01 RL with Purolator air filter..
Someone told me that Acura filters ,filters better..
Is this true ?

i don't think it really matter that much, just change it regularly. I have K&N CAI so i have to clean them every 3k.
