Differential installation hELP

I have a 96 RL and the differential went out so I am trying to get the new one in and there is a 36mm bolt on the back side that needs to come off and the differential can go in. However I cannot get that damn thing loose and it is starting to round out. Can anyone give me something else to try I really dont wanna drop the tranny at all since i am doing this outside in the gravel. The snow is coming and I need to get this fixed. I have tried 1/2 x 1/2 steel stock with a nut welded to it and it just wont budge... I am at my wits end here how can i get this off..

Soak it with PB plaster or Deep creep and wait a little while. Then hit it with an impact gun. Also does it have reverse threads maybe?

Do you have the service manual?

Can you drill it out? You'd have to use a plug in drill, and a bit intended for metal the same size as the inner diameter of the bolt and then aim for the middle of the bolt.

I've never had to rethread the other side after doing this, but I've never done it on a car (just computer components).
