Hi everyone....I am buying a dash kit for my 99 RL, I found one real wood, and I found another one Synthatic wood that is about $ 50 cheaper, I believe my car came with some OEM synthatic wood, so I need it to match, I need help deciding as soon as possible, can someone please let me know which one I should get?

 

Got a link to this? Until 2003 there was no real wood in the RL, It's simulated. In 2003 the RL got a real wood laminate only in the center radio/shifer section. The other parts are still simulated.


I'd be weary of dash kits if they cant send you a color sample or have a money back guarantee if it doesnt match.


I would go for real wood if its available.

 

Thanks for the reply old hatch, I have another problem now...lol...they make them either in 18 pieces or 30 pieces, I like the 30 pieces one but it does not have the wood insert above the glove box

 

you won't find it either. That piece came simulated wood in the 96-98 premium RL's I believe, but 99 and up it's just dash color vynil.
