car slowly turns over

i have a 2002 with navi and it just started to slowly turn over after a cold morning. now after a few days i have noticed that it does it when it sits for at least an hour. i would go to start the car and it cranks and sounds like the starter is winding very slow. it eventually gets to the point where the car almost stalls but then starts. i need some advice or help. battery doesnt seem to be dead but would that happen because there are weak voltz in the battery?

Why do you think the battery is still good? How old is it? The first indication of battery failure is hard starting or no starting when the temperatures drop. If the battery is new it may be an alternator issue. Have you tried charging the battery?

first off have ur battery checked at local autoparts store. Its usually free. If that checks out look for loose alt belt or loose connections at the alt.

if all those check out you might be having a starter problem where it will need replacing, but like stated above hard starting is usually a battery problem or charging issue.

let us know what happens

How old is the battery? For me, batteries usually last about 4 years or so. If it's that old, or older, that's probably the culprit.

That sounds like battery to me. Good luck!

+1 for battery, a weak battery would do just that

Thanks for the advice. Replaced the battery and everything is fine. I got an average 8 volts so it was bad. I will remember not to leave my lights on again that's for sure....
