Battery and Brake (handbrake) indicator lights came on while driving on the freeway. Car runs just fine, starts perfectly ok. I added some brake fluid but it was ok to begin with and it seems ok now that I added some more.

So what is going on? Scared to drive it around if its going to die on me while on the freeway.

Anyone have any clue as to what is going on with my car?

 

so i took my car to the shop today and it turns out that the pulley that connects to the crankshaft and runs the powersteerng and alternator belts broke its pin. along with that the alternator belt is split in half and since it was wobbling and loose the pulley damaged the powersteering belt...thinking the alternator itself is still good, but what about the "brake" light? added some brake fluid yesterday and hasnt gone away... is it possibly linked?
anyone know where i can get these replacement pulley parts cheap?
