Anyone Program any Remotes at all?

Hi everyone,

So, I'm embarrassed to say I lost my first set of car keys. And this has left me in somewhat of a pickle.

I don't want to risk anyone finding my lost set and getting into the vehicle, so I'm set of replacing my locks.

What I'll do is I'm going to go to a pick a part place that hopefully has a key for the vehicle and I'll grab that key and all the cylinders off it so I can put them in my car. I've got two new uncut keys coming in for the mail as well as a key fob. Anyway, to get onto the reason I'm posting, I'm wondering if any of you have reprogrammed a remote.

I have done this before, successfully, twice. So I know how to reprogram them. But, for whatever reason, the reprogrammed remotes don't make the car chirp.

Have any one you who have reprogrammed a remote been able to successfully make the car chirp with all the remote?

I'd appreciate any input, thanks.

That sucks to hear. Someone mentioned awhile back on here that there is a process to turn off the beep when you lock / unlock the car via remote. Maybe you just need to do that process as it is off by default or something.

Ah ha, I had to go to acura-legenddotcom.

so for our cars, it's a bit different.

You have to press the trunk button first, and them immediately following it press the lock button. The led will blink twice and wahlah, chirp comes back.

I'm so happy I got that figured out, that chirp is honestly one of my favorite features about the car!
