97 RL wheel/tire offset

Hey all,

My original wheels have corroded so bad that they can't hold air anymore. I went to Les Schwab to get new wheels (they gave me 16" Raceline 126 that have a 40mm offset). I kept my 215/60R16 tires since they are still good. The problem is the offset on the wheels are making my tires rub around corners, and I'm also starting to shred rubber. Does anyone have suggestions? I've tried to find wheels with a 55mm offset to match what I originally have, but that isn't panning out. I was thinking of replacing the wheels and tires, so that I have more freedom with offset.

Anyone have a wheel/tire combo (either 16" or 17") that works for their KA9? I can roll fenders if needed, but I'd prefer not to.

Have you tried simply rolling your fenders? Shouldn't have too much trouble making clearance for those.
