Hello to everyone, Im a new member and a brand new RL owner. I just bought a 1997 RL, tan exterior, tan interior 157k miles for pennies. I have to say I always admired the RL and now Im a proud owner. I have to say I was reading alot of the threads and getting all sorts of info. OLD HAtch I must say you know your stuff. Ok I have a few ideas and questions to whoever is willing tro lend their advice and knowledge

1. Thinking of changing the color to the Lexus Smokey Granite Mica

2. 18 inch or 19 inch wheels. I dont want a ghetto look, I need to stick with the class of the car. So what wheels and size do you recommend?

3. Inserting angel eyes. and projectors

4. double-din kenwood

5. changing the suspension to take away that boat feel

any other suggestions? Thanks

 

4) You can go double-din if you don't have navigation. Do you plan on keeping the factory amp and speakers?

5) Get the 2002 - 2004 RL springs and shocks, you'll find it to be a firm yet comfortable ride.

Thx Ken, I will do the springs and shocks. DO you know how much they cost and I have navigation on my phone but I was doing the double din look because it looks more factory than custom but I have yet to find a double din with the USB outlet, can u advise?

 

I know alot of double dins have usb on them, some in the front. I know the Pioneer AVH3200 dvd has it on front. Im sure Alpine, Kenwood, and other Pioneers have USB on them.

 

Thx Jimmay, I think I like that Pioneer. I saw OLD Hatch with a newer hood on his 97, is there any modifications thats has to be done to het that hood on a 97?
