hope someone can shed some light on this. I was told by the mechanic at the local grease shop that I have a bad inner tie rod end on my 97 rl. The shop mgr. tells me that the tie rod ends are not sold seperately and I would have to purchase the whole rack and pinion ( $500). After checking the same auto part sources he claimed to have consulted I find that the inner tie rod ends are sold seperately by both sources ($50 each). What am I missing?? either the shop mgr. doesn't know which end is up or I'm overlooking something important. I've spent all my life wrenching on auto's and know my way around a car. I havn't put the car up and takin a closer look yet but I have looked at an exploded view of the front suspension online and at the parts suppliers pictures. Any help would be appreciated.
