2004 RL Wood/Blk Leather Shift Knob ONLY on 2004 Models

Hello everyone!

I own a 2004 RL Dk Grey/Black interior with only 58k miles and I am looking for the Acura OEM Wood Grain/Black Leather shift knob that was only put on the 2004 RL's. I have looked everywhere for this shift knob and have absolutely no luck in finding the shift knob or even a car part number or anything to locate this shift knob. I am EXTREMELY interested in finding this shift knob and will pay pretty much anything(within reason) to get this part for my 2004 RL.

If anyone can assist or has this part, I would be very interested in hearing from you.

I have watched ebay for quite some time and it has not shown up and I don't imagine it will. I also think looking for it in a salvage yard would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack as well so I'm hoping someone on the forum can help me out.

I do not know why my 04 RL doesn't have this shift knob as I believe it's supposed to be standard on only the 04 RL, but whatever the reason I do not have it on my 04 RL.

Any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated!

Thank You!

Thank You, I figured since it said (LEA) that it was just the leather one, but I'm going to call and see if it is indeed the ones that have the wood insert on top!

THANK YOU, I hope it is the right one!!!

Here is where I learned that the wood grain/leather shift knob is supposed to be standard on the 04 RL...

http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=70719

I'm called a couple of places to see if they could tell me if it indeed did have the wood grain on top and they could not. One "parts specialist" did go further and look into it and the above mentioned shift knob part was supposedly the only one available for the 04 RL. So I'm going to just order it and hope for the best...if it's not I'll return it and lose the s&h and 15% restocking fee...but worth trying...

Here is a link to what it looks like, I had originally found the correct part #, but it just says (LEA), so I didn't think it had the wood on it...I mean wouldn't you think it might mention that it has wood on it somewhere in the description especially if it says (LEA)...anyway, I'm very happy that I got it!!!

I do have that knob, somewhere in my collection of parts. I took it off since it was big and clunky in my opinion. I replaced it with a stock Honda Civic 5 speed shift knob since it seems to fit my hand better.

Ha ha ha
