2003 gold package
I know there are a lot of people who don't like gold emblems or any emblems on their cars.
I'm a fan of them on certain cars. I have all silver emblems right now on my 03. I just ordered the front A on the grill, center caps and the rear emblems from Tim. I may at some point get the trunk trim, the peice right above the license plate.
I should get them in next week sometime and i'll post pics.

i only like the front and rear emblems....and in chrome only. gold looks tacky and will fade to an ugly color. gold emblems were popular back then, but not anymore.

I have been trying to sell a gold emblem kit for a 2004 RL (front emblem, back emblem, Acura 3.5, and all four tire emblems...brand new..aren't you the person that made the post about a fading gold front emblem?

if you ask me, emblems are like jewelry for cars.
i have a personal preference as to the colors of car that gold emblems look good on.
Black, white, and maybe grey...
as for the RLs, the chrome does alot to throw off being able to rock gold emblems,
i had a black civic and had gold mesh work vs-xx wheels with gold emblems and it looked classy. but then again, there was no chrome trim to clash with...
i think if you had a black RL, you could definately pull off the gold emblems if, you blacked out all the chrome especially the bumper trim, might look good if you turned chrome on the grill gold along with the emblem and left the rest black, then made the trunk trim gold as well.
On a white RL, im not so sure about, again you would probably have to white out all the chrome except maybe the grill and trunk trim which again you would have to turn gold.
its always tough to imagine what the car would look like if the trim was either backed or whited out... i might have seen a few pics of a few jdm cars blacked out, but i cant remember... anyone wanna photoshop and example of a blacked out, and a whited out RL?

i have just recently bought a 97 RL(black) and the trim is pretty faded due to bad keep up on this nice car. By this bad up keep the silver/chrome trim along the body looks like a brushed aluminum look, which whould look very good in my opinion for the grille and "A" emblems. i dont really care to much for the other emblems.

I figured most wouldn't like it, but i have always liked it on the older acuras. We have had it on quite a few cars and with normal washing, it stays pretty nice for many years.
Plus i get to clean under the emblems and get all that nasty dirt.

I am glad that some people like the gold trim.....good do you! I am thinking of keeping my gold trim and using the front and back Acura emblems only (car is black)...
