2002 rl 107,000km - humming noise
I'm getting a hum or howl that gets pretty loud from the driver side rear end. It does not sound like grinding and it comes and goes.
The sound was speed sensitive - seemed to occur when I went over 100kmh then disappears when I slowed down. Now yesterday I heard the same sound while entering a driveway at very low speed.
any ideas ? thanks

I now notice that the sound dissapears when i touch the breaks at high speeds ...
I did take it in to a reputable mechanic but I do not know if he checked the brakes - I thought he would at least do a visual on the brakes
