my "check engine" and "srs" lights have been on for months and dont seem to be related to problems. also, the automatic doorlocks are beginning to make grinding sounds but still working.
any ideas?????
the nearest dealer is an hour away so if anyone knows an acura loving mechanic in lafayette louisiana this girl would love to know.
btw my rl is well maintained and has 79,000 miles and has an extended warranty

 

Sorry, but I don't think this question applies to the 2005 - 2006 (2nd Generation) Acura RL. Perhaps you posted my mistake.

 

This is the wrong forum, but since you're here.....

The two lights may be related, but the only way to find out is to take your car to a dealer or someone that can extract the diagnostic codes that set the lights in the first place. The SRS one is a bit disconcerting, because it indicates a problem with your Supplemental Restraint System. Without the trouble codes, you may not find out if there is a problem unless you have an accident and the airbags don't deploy. I would get your car to someone that can read the codes ASAP.

Hey, this looks like the right forum to me. The original RL, right. Unless the board is screwed up some way this is the first gen RL forum.
