I have a 1997 Acura 3.5 RL Premium w/Navigation. Last October I had some transmission work done on the car. Before the work was done, my navigation was working flawlessly. When I got back in the car, the little icon at the top left was not showing the satellite. I called the dealership and they said that all I had to do was unhook the battery to reset the system. Maybe I didn't unhook the battery long enough. The navigation still works, but its not follwing any roads right now. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to remedy this problem?

what you can do and what worked for me is..

unhooked all the pin harnesses on the back on the navigation drive unit. Replug them, and then turn on your car and leave your car stationary for 7-10 minutes.

In doing so, it should reset your navigation harddrive's memory of your location and search for a new one. Leaving your car stationary gives it time to locate and position accuracy.

hope this works for you. if it doesnt, try finding another honda/dealership with helpful information. I know a lot of times the service people dont quite give the service you need.

I have a 2000 3.5 RL W/nav and sometimes the navigation doesn't come on at all. I'll drive around and suddenly it'll cut back on other times it won't restart until I crank the car again... Any suggestions???
