From what I've read the 2008 has a softer suspension than the 2007. I have a 2008 and I love the sporty ride. Did you not test drive the car fully before you bought it?

i had an 2007, and currently have an 08. They softened the road feel in the 08, but nothing at all changed in terms of harshness or cabin intrusion. The 2007 is a beast and road the best, minimal body roll, felt taut everywhere whereas i always felt the 08 was more lazy around town and rolls a bit more in corners, especially exit/onramps. I felt an immediate difference when i dropped the 07 off and literally took teh 08 out oif the parking lot a few minutes later. It may not be noticeable overall to many people, but was 100% noticeable to me before i even left the parking lot. I was not impressed. If i could have gotten another 07 at the time i would have, but the 07's were history. The 08 is still pretty decent, but i dont think any later models drive quite as sharp and taught as the original configuration. Acura had it right in 07; to bad they gave in to a bunch of whining from people who didnt understand the purpose of test driving before buying.

I have an '07 and love the sporty suspension. As Mike mentioned, there is minimal body roll. Great for on/off ramps and cornering. A harsh ride is simply the compromise for a sporty suspension.
I'm not a big fan of firm leather seats but that could be fixed with memory foam seat cushions.
It's too bad the attitude from some members on this forum is flame first, help later, compared to many other forums. Forums are about people helping people and improving our vehicles. All we can do is wait for some coilovers or something to adjust the rebound on the shocks to make the ride softer, but you'd be sacrificing the sport tuned suspension for a softer ride. Or maybe switch out the shocks from later models if that softens the ride any.

Hey all, look try some coil isolators from energy suspension--they work by compressing the stock or after market coil/ spring for an even tighter feel--when you change out your shocks. I'll get the universal part number if they have one that fits this tonight or Monday in this thread. The springs are hug-normous compared to other cars ive seen. It's not the coil over damper design as someone on AZine eluded to.
Zero coil overs for the RDX guys an gals.
As for sway bar, Energy Suspension has some poly bushings that I have read in a prelude forum that make a good bit of difference at the swaybar mounts and the endlinks. As for a replacement sway bar somebody with car "x" will accidentally mix the 2 up and we'll know what the replacement bar is.

Oops! Front is coil over design rear is not, well on the '07
I did what I could right now to measue the coils, and will make a short list of universal componets with ES catalog and tech help, that will replace or tighten up the suspension. Poly-urethane bushings last longer than the car and will always proform at the same level. Down side is squeekiness and the upside it is a good option for all makes and models stock or not.
BRB with numbers, sooner or later.

I have an '07 model, which I love dearly. Test drove it twice before buying, and I can't say I like anything else in the same class. I like the sporty feel of the suspension.
However the Michelin tires gave out, and I decided to try the Duelers. Ride is about the same, but handling isn't the same. I knew the tires weren't going to perform the same, so I'm planning on going with some Yokohamas or Kumhos on RonJon wheels next time and some Blizzaks for winter.

I got a '08 and by no means is it harsh. I would say very sporty, esp compared to other SUV in the segment. The Infin FX35 seemed harshest to me, but that is just my opinion

The 2011 has a nice soft deadening road feel... but then chuck it into a corner and this bitch gets ruff... I love the suspension in this suv... its a true SPORT Utility Vehicle... not a 4k lbs turd like every other suv I've driven... Acura keeps out doing themselves... Ill never go anywhere else but honda for vehicles... My dream Garage... 60-1 trim turbo swapped RDX (you know, for grabbing groceries... before anyone else Twin turbo NSX GT35 turboed S2000...

Apologizing in advance, as I know this will NOT be a popular answer, but I run the tires at 30 psi. It keeps all my kiddos in the back seat happy and lets them nap after 20 minutes of driving.....those are things that are next to impossible to tell on a test ride.

Nothing really bad about 30psi. Proper inflation rate depends on the tire, but should be set according to the manufactures specifications. Right now I am running 30 in the RDX and 35 in the TL. The Yoko's seemed to handle better at 30 than 32. We shall see if another 2k of wear makes a difference, I may go up to 32 again.
