Pulls Right When Letting off Gas

Hey, wife and I just got an 07 RDX, 44k miles. Only had it a few days, and I noticed it pulls slightly to the right on the freeway when letting my hands off the wheel and it does this even more when letting of the gas. Strangely, a certain amount of throttle will straighten it back out. I already checked tire pressure, all were at 32 except the right rear was at 40, which wouldn't cause that anyhow. Any ideas?

Just some quick thoughts -

You may want to try and rotate the tires to see if it makes a difference. Prior owner may not have properly rotated tires and you may have uneven tire wear.
Another thought could be a binding caliper, which would cause a drag on the rotor and the pull you describe. Accelerating or foot on the gas, may be compensating for this.

Thank you, I'll give it a try, if that doesn't work I'll try an alignment.

Have you looked at all four tires to look for any unusual wear?

You might also need to check the alignment to make sure it is within specs. I have a lifetime alignment warranty at firestone for about $195. I take it in twice a year to double check and they always have to make a slight adjustment (also have Eibach lower springs).

The 2 main interstates crossing in ABQ are the main transportation routes for trucks and they sometimes create slight ruts that feel like the vehicle is pulling to one side. The hwy in my area also has a slight tilt to aid in drainage when the roads are wet. The RDX might be reacting to this.

The tires I have on my RDX can be cross rotated for more even wear and quiet operations (Conti DWS). You should cross rotate if the tires are not directional to help with any uneven wear that might be causing pulling.

Whatever the cause is take it back to the seller and inform them of the problem.

If they did not clearly tell you about this problem, they should stand behind correcting the problem or refunding you in full.

I don't see any unusual wear on the tires. We're taking it back to the dealer where we bought it. They are taking care of it for free. I didn't want to because it's a tad far and I don't like the area, but oh well. I just hope they don't tell me "everything is within spec, there's nothing wrong". I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

We took it to the subaru dealer we got it from and they took care of it for free. They said something was off in the left side causing it to pull to the right. He showed me the alignment specs/results and all the green was good and there were some numbers in red. He told me because the RDX was made with no camber adjustment possible. Is this true? Doesn't sound right to me. I haven't driven it yet but my wife says she notices an improvment.

Can anyone tell me if that's true about the camber adjustment?
