Experience using Axis Sport Wheels?
Anyone ever use/d their wheels on a RDX (or similarly weighted car)?
I like the XR model in 19"(in matte graphite), but just not sure about their reputation. All their other wheels are 'low pressure cast'; some are made in Thailand while others in Taiwan.
Here they are at Tire Rack:
Axis Sport XR Matte Graphite Silver
Car is only used for daily commute and the roads are pretty pot-hole free; even where there are holes, I know them by heart and can avoid them. This car will never see a track or strip, just the occasional back road with up/downs and some slalom-type sections.
My problem is I really like that split, 5-spoke design but just not sure if they're strong enough. Style wise, I really prefer these, but my backup plan is the 19" Raijins. Thoughts?

^I mean, if tirerack is selling them, it cant be any worse than any other "aftermarket" wheel.
it would be troublesome if it were an obscure website selling only that brand.
but, tirerack has been around for a long time!
and when you're in business for a long time, you dont want to mess up your reputation with bad, broken, wheels.

Axis wheels might not be as high end as some, but I think you will be fine. I saw some good reviews about them. By the way, does weight a big factor to you? That Axis wheel is 25.8 lbs. Try also to check out other brands like Enkei, BBS, Motegi and Advanti. Or try to spend a little more and consider TSW or the Avant Garde.
