I've had my Envigors for a couple of weeks and agree with what Max366 said, but I would have to add that the quiet ride is what has been most amazing to me. I have the volume at 5-10 Instead of 15-20. I didn't realize how bad the OEM road noise was until this replacement - very happy.

Just had Envigors ordered through my dealer, should be installing them next week, will post pictures. Decided to go with the dealer because there were able price match tirerack.com, and mounting/balancing costs are standard pretty much anywhere (~$20 per tire). Envigors is the replacement of V4S, so I expect them to be similar, if not better (probably they discontinued them for a reason). OEM have 33K miles on them, OK to drive in dry, but are pretty dangerous in wet.

I'm picking up my RDX on Monday and already thinking of ordering new tires. Any opinions on the Michelin Primacy MXV4

I've pretty much made up my mind on the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas. But, I won't pull the trigger on them until the fall some time, a good 5+ months from now.

yeah, good tires, could not decide between them and yokos. For me the deciding factor against Alenza was:
1) Extra 4 lb heaver than OEM, or 3 lb heaver than yokos.
2) yoko is more geared towards performance rather than bad weather
3) 120 bucks cheaper

yup, search the board and you will find a wealth of information, pointless to re write everything that has already been written about them. short hand, they are terrible post about 15k

No contest
Max, you didn't mention quiet in the last post. Do you consider them noticeably quieter than the OEM? Our OEM are at 57K and still have good tread but we absolutely HATE how noisy they are! Ready to replace and want to make sure new tires are much quieter.

Ozwaldo, I see you were very happy with the Envigors back in May, are you still happy? We are looking for a quiet tire and you said they were amazing so wanted to know how you feel about them now. We have 1 2007 RDX with 57K.

Yoko Envigor vs. Prada Spec X

We have a 2007 RDX and I see the Envigor getting good comments here. But when I go to the Yokohama website and put in my make and model they only recommend the Prada Spec X. I think it is more of an SUV tire from the reviews and as has been mentioned here the RDX is more of a car than a truck. My main concern is a quiet ride. We live in Ohio but do not drive this car from January thru April so winter driving not a major concern.

Do you have them on an RDX or the Acura you list with your name? I wonder if this would make a big difference?

if winter driving is not a concern, get something much more aggressive in dry and wet rather than an all season.

The ENVigor is a great tire. In addition to the Yoko’s, I have a dedicated studded snow tire for winter weather and a 4G TL SH-AWD with 19” Pilot’s. So I get my cornering fix elsewhere. Tread life and price were factors in my decision and I’m happy, but my grin could be wider and the Yokohama’s are no Pilot.

Envigor is ranked as high performance tire, but sure its mostly geared towards all-season. its along the lines of OEM.

Janeablank,

The lack of road noise is what impressed me the most and still does. After about 9,000 miles they still look like new, and I also have bought another set for a RAV4 in the family. No regrets.

Thanks, Ozwaldo! Just what I wanted to hear. We ordered them yesterday. It seems the 235x55x18 is an uncommon size. We looked all over and NTB could get two right away but had to order the other two. Possibly will have by friday but if not then hopefully Monday. It is either quite popular so out of stock or no one uses them. Ha, ha. But after doing as much research as possible we definitely think these will meet our needs. If I ordered myself from Tirerack and had them sent to NTB it came out to same price because the NTB is not charging me as much to install and waiving the TMPS charge. About $189 a tire.

^ Waiving the TPMS means they are not rebuilding them. They might remove and replace the rubber gasket for you, but they will not replace the valve stem (slide sensor), cap, and exterior sheath. You may not have any issues with the old one (some of the replacement TPMS kits are poorly made Chinese garbage anyhow).
