Wth is this noise??

In the video you hear it shortly at the 00:13 mark, and then again you can hear it longer at the end. 2008 RDX. Happens only at low RPMs. Sounds like maybe a heat shield or something coming loose, but I don’t know. Any help is appreciated!

Heat shield rivet rusted out. I had a local shop secure it with a sheet metal screw.

You need new upper and lower catalytic coverter heat shields. It happened to me too, mine rusted out. Probably, going to need new bolts too, those will probably be rusted away too.

Are you located somewhere in snow and salt?

Yeah, I’m in the North East Coast of America 🇺🇸. We get plenty of two foot snow ❄️ storms. They love to use plenty of salt and sand on our dilapidated roadways.

If a heat shield from the heated catalyst, cant be removed without removing lowering the parts of the exaust system, anyway, I wasn't able to do it without lowering part of the exaust system. (same time I'm doing the Turbine).
But its easy.
