Wind noise with roof rack?
Anyone have the factory installed roof rack? I do and get significant wind noise starting around 35-40mph. I have seen other posts here saying that in general folks find the RDX pretty quiet - hence my suspicion of the rack. At 60-80mph it sounds like I'm leaving kansas going and gonna land in Oz.
This weekend I'm going to try to take off the cross bars and see if that helps. I'm coming from a 2000 dodge durango which is a very noisy suv. so its not that I'm sensitive to it.
Anyone have similar experience? thx.

Thanks Tonia.
So it looks like I'm the only one with roof rack noise. Anyone have any ideas why that might be? Maybe I can try sliding the cross bars up or back a few inches and hope they just happen to be in some weird noise producing spot.

Are all of the aerodynamic stay covers in place?
Look at the ServiceNews Bulletins in the sticky post above. The TSB of March 2007 shows how to install them without breaking the plastic retainer pawls, which apparently has been a problem at the dealership.
If one is missing, this might cause the noise.

I installed the factory roof rack myself and have no wind noise at any speed. I may have been lucky but I was very careful during installation to insure everything was properly aligned and the covers were on. I could see how noise might occur if just one thing was off somehow.
