tpms in one tire

tpms in one tire
Tire pressure in one wheel reads 6 lbs too low. I know that now that the dealer rotated tires, correct?
Dealer suggested my handheld gauge was wrong, but the tire rotation should proved me correct.
Any other owners have this problem?

Yes! I have one that reads about 10lbs low.
It took some time to fiqure that out. The confirmation was that I had one OEM tire worn out in the center from being over inflated for the past 3 years.
Took it to the dealer and they confirmed it was incorrect, so I will make a return visit to fix that and get an alignment since I have 4 new tires.

So it was wrong on one wheel and not the other three? Service people can make the dumbest ass excuses to not fix things. They should have a calibrated tire pressure gauge.

A tire gauge may be inaccurate but not wrong when only one tire is way off from the others. In other words, if the tires are supposed to be at 32 PSI and your gauge says 30 PSI then it's a mis-read. With that said, if it reads 30 PSI on three tires and 24 PSI on the forth it is CLEARLY your tire and NOT the gauge. Simple logical sense guys.

I encountered the exact same problem last month (~5 psi too low on one wheel). I don't know when it occurred since I don't look at the tpms daily. I was going to wait until my next oil change to have the dealer check but one day, the tpms puked up an error. Restarting the car got rid of the error but that made me nervous. The dealer replaced the sensor in the wheel under warranty.
