Sticky rear door handle

I have a 2008 RDX Tech, and the driver's side rear door handle is "sticky," meaning, when you first pull it open, it doesn't seem to want to "let go" until you pull really hard.

If you pull the door open and close it a few times, the outside door handle feels normal again. But if you wait a while, and pull the door handle, it will again feel "sticky."

Any ideas here for a quick fix?

I guess this must not be a common problem.

Are you sure it's the handle and not the weatherstripping? I had what sounds to be a similar issue and mentioned it to the dealer. They diagnosed the issue as the weatherstripping and lubricated it with Shin-Etsu grease. The rubber was sticking to the door frame and not releasing the door necessitating a second pull. Once it's open it doesn't hold the door as much. When the door is left closed, it has an opportunity to stick again. Here is a thread where fellow AZiners are discussing it for quieting squeaks and rattles and such -

You can get it at a dealer or on Amazon -

Amazon Amazon

Note that even though this is Amazon it is being sold via a dealer.

You might want to try and give this a try as a quick short money fix. If it truly is the handle, them I'm not sure what to tell you other than maybe the handle needs lubrication.
