SH-AWD warning light

2007 RDX Tech, 37800 miles. SH-AWD warning light came on after about 1 hour of driving on the highway. Speeds in the 70's, dry pavement and temps in the high 80's. Lost rear wheel drive as a result. After restarting the car as recommended, the warning light was gone. 1 hour later it came on, same driving conditions. Dealer replaced the fluid, updated the software and all was fine for 10 days. The light returned after about 10 minutes of driving, temps in the 80's, speeds in the 40's. Restarted, light off and back on after 10 minutes. Repeat later in the day. Appointment tomorrow but any ideas are appreciated.
