rubbing sound on rear wheel

I have this rubbing sound coming from my rear drivers side tire. It sounds worse when im reversing and occurs when the vehicle is moving. Its not continuous, It stops and starts and increases obviously the faster i go. If anyone has dealt with this before or knows what might be making this noise, please let me know. Thanks

Drew

Check the brake backing plate.

Honda is known for putting the backing plates too close to the rotors, which can easily be bumped by road debris and cause rubbing.

They also rust out and the rust can make contact with the rotor causing a noise.
