Reliability

One of the main points for me buying the RDX is that it's a Honda at heart. We have a '98 CRV that runs like a Swiss watch and 12 years later there should only be improvements. Why should a turbo determine that this only last 150k miles or so? Some Honda's are just getting started at that stage, when properly maintained.

As the nearest Acura dealer is almost 50 miles away, would my local Honda dealer know this vehicle and have the proper fluids that Acura requests for maintenaince??

I'm surprised Acura doesn't market these suv's more.

Lots of useful info on this site.

It appears you have been associated with your local Honda dealer for 12 years through CR-V ownership.

Perhaps you should ask them. Then you could post the information you receive.

Honda dealerships will service Acura vehicle. And you dont have to worry about warranty issues. Well as long as they are not backed up with service appointments.

The Honda dealership might charge a little extra for part and service if they have to order or pick-up anything from the Acura dealership. I would also check on will they give you a loaner vehicle if you need to leave your vehicle over night.

The 5 years I’ve had my TSX and RDX; my Acura dealership has always given me a loaner if the vehicle had to stay overnight. The 15 years before when I owned a Honda, the dealership only gave me a loaner only a few times.

Actually I bought a ac clutch/ field coil from Honda for less than Acura. You'd be surprised how much replacement parts Honda has in stock and how many Acura has to special order.
