RDX Longevity...
I've had my RDX Since November of 2010 and have already put over 20,000 miles on it! And that's working 6 days/week with only a 13.4mi roundtrip commute!
Since I bought my RDX used with 53,000 miles on it, and I'm putting a LOT more miles on it than I'd expected. I'm just wondering if there are any milestones to expect problems out of the engine/tranny. Being turbo, I'd expect the engine to not last much over 100k, or is that antiquated thinking?
Thanks for the advice in advance!

I think the RDX will last anyone who is a well behaved behind the wheel. We have heard those "I have a clunk noise" and "oil in my intercooler" stories from a couple of people (not surprisingly they admit to "hammer"ing their trucks). So far the K23A has proven reliable with some members pushing 80k.
We plan on keeping ours for 10yrs/150k whichever comes first.

Thanks again Marco. Anyone else?

Someone here has a RDX and their milage is outragously high --over 100k miles
They were asking az for advice for over 100k miles. Since that is the case I am sure the engine will last. Alot or any of the longevity issues are relative to the driver like mr Marco said, and I'll add to Marco's statement: also depends on when and where they/you have it serviced.
Lol, I'm captain obvious so that why I added that, so you probably know that already and I'll tie up the loose ends just in case.

I'm in the same boat with Mr. Marco, 10yrs or +150,000 miles with my 08 RDX with 54,000 miles now. I've noticed I don't turbo boost more than half way with normal driving. The RDX rewards me with decent combined mpgs (19.5-20.5 avg with 60% hwy). I'm thinking with normal scheduled maint and driving my age (not my shoe size); the RDX will see +150,000 miles. I still max out the turbo every once in a while; but, not as much when I first got Hondata.
The paint will give out before the turbo/engine/tranny. Acura may not be top of the list as a new car; Acura/Honda is always on the top 5 list for best used cars/SUVs at any model year.

got one major tranny slip around 46k miles that didnt amount to anything or throwing any computer codes. Other than that, seems ok, altho at idle this engine does not sound fantastic, lots of humming, whirling and buzzing noises, sometimes i hear very very audible electronic noises as well, but regardless, no engine/tranny problems so far pushing 50k.
However, did have my front suspension components replaced before 50k. The linkage became very loose and the thing needed a bunch of stuff replaced, again, before 50k. Not sure why, but not exactly confidence inspiring either.
If you search my posts, i wrote a list out of the major service visits for my truck within the last month or 2. Many of the things were more quality-related (like loose trim or rattling seats) than mechanical for longevity purposes.

Our 2008 is always driven rather hard. Up and down grades and around mountain curves. It has almost 105k on it currently. Engine starts every time, idles smooth, pulls hard under boost. Not even a rattle from the interiorOnly thing we have had trouble with during the life of the car is premature tire wear and of course the weak brakes. Guess we are lucky.

14k on my 2011 (purchased Sept 2010) and so far doing just fine. At this point, the suspension is the one thing that might give me some issues. The roads I drive on are horrendous, so I had an alignment done last week during the B16 service. It was out of spec in 2 places already, with a 3rd being a tenth away. They were able to get it back to normal, but I fear it won't be long before it's out again. I have started going out of my way to avoid one part of one road, which is by far the worst I drive on, so hopefully that will help. I am also pretty sure this road is what caused my 04 TSX's rear upper control arm to bend/break last year. Wish I could send the repair bills to the county/state. ![Annoyed](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/annoyed.gif)
I am prepared to put a decent amount of miles on this thing. My commute 3 days a week is 0 (LOL), but 1 or 2 days a week it is 90 miles each way. I try to stay overnight at my parents' if I can so I only make one trip/week to the office. I am crossing my fingers that the RDX lasts without too many issues. My 04 TSX was pretty solid so I think the RDX will be good as well.

93,000 miles. Still looks and drives like a new car -- tight handling, no rattles.
She's never seen a dealer or shop. I do all my own maintenance and change all fluids (including power steering) on a regular schedule.
I've replaced one leaking rear shock damper and two door speakers -- common faults with the 07's. Both replacements were improved parts with superceded part numbers.
ps. changing fluids on schedule is the best way to keep any car running for a long time.
