RDX gone bad

Hello,

How's everybody doing? I got this problems on my '07 Acura Rdx Tech, I just replaced my battery and starter and everything was fine, running, and all that. The problems were the VSA, charging, emission, and check engine lit up the same time. In addition, when the AC was on full blast the navigation screen started shaking and blurry and the turbo was choking on certain rpm, stalling, and won't start. It seems that I have electrical/computer problem, I tried to reset by taking the battery wire and the problems still there. Checked the fuses and they were good. I already hit my wall and I'm planning to buy a cheapo OBD scanner, but for now can you guys shine some light with these problems? Really appreciated and thank you in advance!

It would be helpful to know:
What was the problem that caused you to replace the battery &starter-what was it doing or what was happening?
Other than the battery & starter issues, did the vehicle basically run right before?
Did all the trouble lights appear after the battery & starter change?
And are you saying everything was fine at first after battery/starter change & after a bit the lights appeared?
Most auto parts stores will check your trouble codes for free

Thank you for the reply. I went to O’Reilly to check only the batteries, the alternator was charging good, but the battery was failing because of old age. The starter was trying to turn over the vehicle, but it wasn’t enough. Then few days the starter just gave up, no clicks, and won’t turn over anymore. The only thing that I did when it died was crank the engine up many times thinking that it would start and drove it back to my house. I think I forced the vehicle to start or overloaded it somehow. All the trouble lights came on after the install and I just called the mechanic today, he said they may reprogram it. Before these problems occurred the vehicle was in tip-top shape, no trouble lights, or faults. What do you think the problem was and what can I do to resolve it, my last option is to bring it to the auto shop.

Hmmmm... I ran into something similar on my Kia Sorento... And everything I had read up on was BAD GROUNDS were my cause for things lighting up or not working. Luckily for me, my real problem was a light was left on hahaha. But still, check your grounds!!!

I do have one question. When the battery was being replaced, was it hooked up backwards by accident?

I found the culprit yesterday. It was the 15A ignition fuse that got fried. I metered each and every fuses just to make sure that I don't have any bad fuses. I replaced that sucker and the VSA, check engine, charging, and emission lights were gone, even the turbo choking up went away too. Thanks again for the replies.

Your welcome, thanks for the information. Buying a fuse tester and checking the fuses is always the first thing you want to do on your vehicle. Then going on the forums of course.
