Has anyone experienced the navi not turning on and the radio lights really dim? no sound coming from the radio i tested the battery and the altenator to make sure im getting juice and all is well so its just related to the navi and radio

ive tried unplugging the battery to reset everything but it still happens.. anyone else experience this? really hoping i dont have to replace the stereo

 

to add to it if i turn off and on the vehicle then the radio will come back and work fine again

 

I have had the Navi not come on once...as you mentioned, turning vehicle off and on again fixed it. Hasn't happened since, I chalked it up to a glitch and called it a day. Computers will be computers. But if it's happening frequently, I suspect something in the wiring. Perhaps a loose plug or connection behind the unit?

 

The only issue I have 4-5 times a month is the Radio only shows the "XM" letters in the upper display without the channel info with it. It sound fine; but, none of the buttons work to change the station. Only the volume and power work. Most of time I can power the radio off/on and it works after that. Every once in a while I have to turn the RDX completely off/on to get it to work. It has been like this for about 3-4 years. I might try to fix if it becomes an everyday thing.

 

i didnt mess with any under dash wiring for the stereo but who knows maybe it came loose some how? i think its rather odd myself im just hoping its not a bad connector or something where i have to replace the whole unit but its starting to sound like that may be the case.. never had this happen before on any other vehicles so its a big bummer to have to deal with
