Moisture Problem
Problem manifests in an engine missfire, bucking, rough running, rough idle and engine shut down.
Only happends when its wet/damp out.
Driving smoothly while sunny, rain starts, drives fine for a while then starts the symptoms.
Car may me sitting overnight (cold engine) morning is damp/rainy etc, start the car and symptoms occur......goes away usually after engine warms up.
Dosent happen all the time.
Dosent throw a check light.
I think when it first started to happen ( years ago ) the "Check VSA System" and "Check SH-AWD System" lights came on..........but not anymore though.
Only Mod that may effect this is the CpE intake system that I have.
Any and all suggestions to the cause and or solution will be appreciated!
p.s. I got no dealer here to go to!

Happend again... Started up after car sat for a day or so, and after a rain shower also. Rough idle and wont static rev, alot of misfiring etc.
Sat idleing for a bit....got slightly better...started to drive, floored the gas to see if it would clear up and threw the "check emmissions" "check VSA" and " check SH-AWD" lights!
Turned off the engine and restarted, cleared the VSA & SH-AWD lights with the check engine light remaining only.
Got where i was going and shut off engine.
Restart for the journey home only the check engine light stays on. Car runs smoothely and revs to red line all the way home!
Get home and connect a code reader........reads a P0103 code...mod$11 <---whatever that is ................ Mass or Volume Air flow A circuit High input.
Comments etc

It would seem to be electrical and pretty obviously related to water contamination.
P0103 Mass Airflow Sensor High Voltage calls to check the connectors for tightness and security at both the MAF and PCM computer. This sounds like a good place to start since it's obviously water related. Perhaps wrap the connectors tightly with electrical tape for additional protection.
The remainder of P0103 calls to replace the MAF sensor, or even the PCM, but it's a good bet that it's only your connectors.
Other possibility might be the aftermarket intake getting water into the MAF sensor somehow.

Had a similar problem....turned out to be a cam acutator or something like that. It was part of the iVTEC system that was not allowing the cam to change profiles correctly. Had it fixed under warranty.

My car does this when it has been sitting overnight in mid-winter when it is extremely cold. It sounds like a damn tank when you start it. The exhaust makes loud resounding noise. Once the car is warmed up it is fine. I noticed this when the car was very new so I thought that is what it does.

I had the same cam actuator problem that gave the check "emissions" "check VSA" and “check SH-AWD" lights. It was fixed under the powertrain warranty. The cam actuator problems I had was not intermittent like WSPY problem. I had to limp the RDX to the dealership for repairs (had a 2012 TL base loaner for 5 days).

I'm running the cp-e intake here in Oregon with a shit-ton of moisture and I frequently drive on the freeway in the rain. I haven't had any issues at all with water & MAF. The one issue that I did notice with the position of the sensor is how tight the wires are stretched at the top of the sensor. Make sure you are not stretching those wires out to the point of exposure and/or hitting the side of the PCM.

Ok guys I have found and confirmed the problem! While driving the other day it starts to rain really hard, roads were like rivers really. As usual, after about 5mins driving in these conditions the problem occurs. I get home, park and wait for the rain to stop. Sun comes out so I start her up and the sputtering missing etc is still present. Check under the hood and all looks quite dry. At this point I squeeze my hand between the battery and under the Cp-e air cleaner and touch the underside of the filter - my fingers come up wet - hmmm. I then remove the MAF sensor from the Cp-e intake pipe and find that sure enough its visibly drenched!! So I dry it off using paper towel and a hair drier on both the sensor and filter, reinstall everything, start up and she runs smoothe with no problems!
So now I have to install something to stop the filter from getting soaked!
