Hey Lexia, the only problems that I've gotten so far (1 year and 4 months) is power window and one of my speakers not generating the sound quality that it should. However all of those problems will be fixed through warranty. Nothing else so far. Loving the RDX more and more each time I start it up.

Rattle noises coming from the back seat. Dealer fixed one already by pulling the seat and adding some felt between two pieces of metal. Now I have it again in a different spot. Need to have them check it the next time I'm in for service.

See my earlier post on acceleration issues, which it appears others have had. It's very annoying.
Also had headlight aiming problems (fixed by dealer), low coolant level from the factory, and loose rear strut causing a rattle. I'm disappointed by the poor set up from the factory.
Fun to drive and decent fuel economy, very comfortable on the highway.

Nothing so far in the first 2000 miles. May be a rattle in the rear seat area I will have the dealer look at, but that is really it.

10 months, 7k miles and not a single problem. No regrets - I moved from an 04 TSX 5AT.

Service Notifications

I got my RDX in April and had my first oil change with the A6 service indicator. So with the 6 indictor i was told that i need the rear diff fluid changed along with Oil. What a joke. This car has only 14k miles on it. I was told that if I change the oil myself that the service indicator would have to be reset. So my thought here is that everytime you have a service indicator go off. Spark plugs, tire rotation etc. you have to reset the the info on you car. Has anyone else done there own service work or do you just go into the deal and get ripped off?

start reading the forum and manual buddy before complaining. Resetting takes literally 6 seconds and not a lot of effort required.

Although rather then resetting I'd actually follow what the system says and get what ever maintenence it requires done (either by you, acura or private certified mecahnic) and keep all receipts.

A. Because if something goes wrong down the road, you have proof the service was done
B. Most second hand buyers like to see that a car was maintained.

Trust me, if your car is saying to get the rear diff fluid flushed, get it done, I'm sure Acura/honda engineers know more about your car then you do.

I've had mine since Dec of '07 and I finally just got a 2.5" long bubble on my arm rest. This happened right after it got real hot out the other day + 90% humidity. Also noticed my rear lift gate struts are rusting (near the stems) even though I've been washing the car royally during snow days.

I'm right at 28K on the ODO, so time to get some warranty work done.

Fix for rear seat rattle: Synthetic grease on the rear seat latch. You will probably see where the latch is wearing from the rattle. That's where you need the grease. Beats waiting around at the dealer for them to do the same thing.

2007 RDX Tech

Early on the front right door speaker went fuzzy. I bought one at Honda (about $25) and replaced it myself.

The OEM Silverstar highbeam lamps last about a year. I replaced them with XtraVision. (The Silverstars are overdriven -- about a year is normal-ish.)

Recently, at about 60k miles the right rear damper began to leak. I got one from Honda (about $55) and will put it in soon. I fully expect the other one to go as well -- the replacement damper is revised with a new part number.

Over 3.5 years and 60k miles that is remarkable reliability. The RDX is easily the most trouble-free car I have ever owned (first Honda).

Oh, and my "turbo" badge came loose from the engine cover also. I reglued it and while I was in there touched up a few things in pewter and gold:

That looks pretty good, although it might clash with your RDX's colour.

Your Bronze calipers look cool, but yor tires look quite a bit worn out and I assume it is a non-performance standard replacement all seasons, right? Given that the RDX is sporty, I think a performance 18" tire with lip protector sidewall will better with your "upgraded" caliper look.

Last weekend, my back up camera colors distorted, everything went red. Luckily the problem went away. Does anyone have any idea why it happened in the first place? Currently only at 700miles.....

No issue ...I am really impressed.

I just inherited my wife's 2010 RDX. I felt like it is actually a ladies SUV but after driving it for a few weeks now, it is actually fun to drive. I have owned Jeeps, Passports, and other SUVs that are rugged by nature; however, this a fun vehicle with every gadget you can imagine. No issues.

Currently at 28k miles and reliable with the exceptions noted below:

-Paint quality not the best. Has minor contamination in a few spots. Perhaps I'm picky.
-Driver door window rattling.
-Left air vent came apart.
-Bubbling in the perforated leather on the RF passenger door trim panel.
-Front wheel plastic liners (both) cracked where it screws in on the front bumper cover.
