HELP - Running Board Installation

Hey Everyone,

I'm having troubles installing the brackets on the running boards.

Here is a link to the instructions:

http://www.handa-accessories.com/rdx/08L33.pdf

In step 3, it shows to use 4 bolts to bolt the bracket onto the vehicle frame. 2 bolts go into the back of the bracket (nearer the inside of the vehicle) and 2 bolts go into the front of the bracket (nearer to the outside of the vehicle).

I can bolt in the 2 bolts at the back of the bracket all the way in no problem but for the bolts in the front of the bracket, it seems that it can only go about half way in.

When i look at the nuts (welded onto the inside of the vehicle frame), the nuts near the inside of the vehicle are see through (no back end), where as the nuts near the outside of the vehicle have a backing to them and it looks like the length of the threads only fit half the bolt.

Did anyone else experience this when installing the sport running boards?

Are the bolts going into the front of the bracket going into the vehicle frame supposed to go all the way in? (ie: threads go all the way in)?

If you need pictures, i could upload it..

Thanks!

I just installed the Running Board on MY07 2 weeks ago.
All bolts went all the way into the frame.
No problem as you described.
Straight forward installation.

Just double check to make sure you are installing onto the correct holes.

Did you notice if the bolt holes on the frame towards the outside of the vehicle was capped? (ie: couldn't see through it like you could with the bolt holes closer to the inside of the car)?
