Try one of those Tide or Oxyclean pens.

Try it on an inconspicuous area first to see if it discolors the headliner.

Any updates to this post?? I acidentally (at night) grabbed the edges of my open sun-roof to leave all sorts of greasy hand prints on the liner / ceiling cloth... Not sure the best way to clean it? Ideas, anyone?

Many thanks!

I had a similar problem with crayon marks when I bought my car. I found this professional stuff called Mohawk Upholstery Cleaner that worked great. It comes out really fast and loosened the stuff right up. Fair warning: it smells awful! But it works good. You can find probably find them locally if you google it, here is where I got it (they ship everywhere): http://www.tuscanyinc.com/Upholstery...eaner-p38.html

You can always go to the dealer and buy the cleaning kit if you want to be safe. If that doesn't work, I'd tell your "artistic friend" that he'd better cough up some dough for a new liner or your going to stick that pen where the sun doesn't shine.

my fiance is a freak about keeping our microfiber couches clean...once, I put a pen mark by accident...she read online to use regular hand sanitizer (purell) on a microfiber towel and what do you know...it removed it.

try to dab little bits of alcohol and wick the ink and alcohol mix back up (this worked for me with pen marks on grey headliner). I used little pre-moistened alcohol pads/swabs available at drug stores for cleaning injection sites.

well, considering alcohol is the main ingredient in hand sanit. I guess that would make sense!
