Faulty actuators? Two at the exact same time?

I have a 2007 RDX, and just today I've noticed that both my passenger door and trunk would no longer be triggered by either my key fob or the driver-side door switch. Everything worked fine 2 days ago. The trunk remains locked; the passenger door can opened manually by flipping the lock inside.

A little toying around, I found the passenger side switch to lock all the doors worked on everything (including the trunk) but itself. Suddenly it's as if the car remembered the trunk is part of the system and is again controlled by my key fob.

So just the passenger door remains the issue. It requires me flipping from the inside to open, and will forbid my car from locking/arming if I don't lock it manually from the inside.

Thoughts?

I'm having a similar problem where my tailgate won't open. It seems to linked to my passenger door lock because I when I try to unlock all the doors, nothing happens.

But then sometimes while we're driving, the tailgate will activate on its own and we'll get the "tailgate open" message.

And then after a while, everything will work again.

I found this old post that is related, but it didn't have a clear solution...
