Error Code PO847

OK, this sucks because my warranty just expired. Driving along and the D light on the dash started blinking and this error code came up. I stopped at a light and turned the car off and back on and put it back into gear. Check engine symbol still on but the D stopped blinking. Anyone know what this is all about and how much it is going to set me back and the dealer?

looks like transmission fluid pressure sensor. Are you sure your drivetrain warranty is up ? How much mileage on the vehicle?

P0847 Trans Fluid Press Sensor/Switch B Circuit Low.
Does ride any different when you drive the car.
With engine off Check your transmission fluid level.
Disconnect the negative side battery for 5 minute and reconnect.
Check engine should go off.
Good Luck

Thanks to everyone who replied! Broke down and took it to the dealer and they said it was the 3rd clutch pressure sensor which was faulty. Replaced it for $165 plus another $80 dollars in additional fees. The dealer indicated the warranty expired at 50k and I was just passed that mark (wouldn't you know it). Guess I should count myself lucky this was all they charged!

If you call Acura, you might want to suggest that the warranty just expired and they should at least help out with this. I have had some issues with some of my Honda vehicles, and they can be very accomodating, especially because it's easier to keep a satisfied customer than to loose them for about $250.00.

I go back to my 1998 Accord V6 which was about 60,000 miles past it's powertrain warranty, and the reverse gear was grinding badly. They stepped up to the plate, after a little persuading from my persistant Wife, and paid half the repair bill.

That said, I have always driven Honda's and would be a good customer.

Good luck.
