I recently purchased a 2009 RDX, and while checking the oil, I noticed quite a bit of road salt spray residue inside the engine compartment. Looking down between the radiator and the engine, there is probably a 4" space in which I can see all the way to the ground. Am I missing an engine compartment splash guard, or is this by design?

 

there is a black plastic trim piece after the bumper before the engine cradle if you take a picture from underneath it i could help more.
