ECT Sensor 1

Hello everyone,

does anyone know where the engine coolant temperature sensor is on this car? I've replaced the one on the radiator, but am still having an issue with the radiator fans coming on late. I have purchased the sensor 37870-RWC-A01 but am having trouble finding it. here is a link to the part on the acura parts website. https://www.acurapartswarehouse.com/...0-rwc-a01.html

I'm replacing this part because my engine temperature rises about 90 degrees celcius. It will go to 100-102 degrees sometimes and it never used to do this.

Looks like it's in the lower water outlet of the engine according to the parts diagram. I believe this is on the driver's side of the engine, but not sure how deep you'll have to dig. Maybe accessible by just removing the air box and/or battery? I'd have to actually look down there to get a better idea.

Theres a sensor that I can see but it looks as if it has 3 pins on the connector which is throwing me off.
