Dead audio

Hi All.
Last week, the front display, underneath the windshield died out with the radio. Also there is no sound from the Navi system. One peculiar thing that I have noticed before the demise was the RDX wanted me to input the radio access code despite the fact that it never lost the battery power.
Anyone with similar problem and if you have resolved the issue with the dealer, what was the culprit / solution??

I thank you in advance.

Sounds like a blown fuse or relay.

Just got a call from Service Rep and he checked all the obvious and easy potential sources (relays, fuses, etc.) of the problem. He said he will need to do more searching... I will keep you posted..

Thanks for the reply.

It kind of sounds like an issue that afflicts a lot of '04 TSXs. In the TSX, the printed circuit board is the culprit. When it goes, the lights around the console dim or go out completely, and sometimes the radio is affected as well. This happened on my '04 last year.

they other option, if they can't pinpoint the issue, is to replace the whole radio/navi component.

Radio quitting.

My audio did not quit, but the display screen failed and the audio button would not respond. The dealer followed factory recommendation and replaced the Nav unit. Didn't help so they replaced the audio unit and it corrected the problem.
