A/C Fan - Not Sending Air to Upper Vents

Hi all,

I'm a new member of the forum. Have a 2009 RDX that I bought new. Just recently, I've run into a problem I can't figure out. When the A/C is on, the air will not go up to the upper vents. It will go to the lower foot vents. Even using the mode button to try and redirect the air to upper vents, or front defrost does not work. The air is cold so I know the compressor is working. The fan works as I can raise or lower the fan speed manually. But the air is only directed to the lower foot vents. My feet are getting cold, and my body is not.

Any thoughts? Anybody else ever have this problem?

Thanks,

DNG

Go to the parts section of Bernardi Acura. Enter the model, year, and then the trim level. That brings you to the assembly section. Then go to the electrical/exhaust/heater/fuel section. Then click on the assembly- heater unit. In that section you will find the parts related to your problem and diagrams to show the parts and their location.

Items #12, 13, and 14 are related to your problem.

#12 is the motor assembly for the mode- which is the button you mentioned not functioning.

DRR98,

Thanks. This is exactly what I had hoped to learn. This is much appreciated.
