Brake System light on after repair
Folks,
Wife's car is a 2007 RDX. She was getting the amber brake light and a large circle with exclamation mark in the MID.
Long story short....The brake booster was bad.
I don't go to dealers when my cars are out of warranty (been ripped off too many times with out of warranty work). The brake booster was unbelievably expensive. (Was told over $1400). Luckily my local repair shop found a used one for under $400. This is why I love y local repair shop. Considering shops make 25% on parts, he gave up a hefty profit to find me a better deal.
So the shop swaps out the brake booster and everything is fine. Brakes work fine. Vacuum is good, fluid levels are good.
BUT...They cannot get the brake system lights to shut off. They also don't get any codes.
Thoughts?
I found a TSB somewhere where it talks about a bug in the software that causes the car to retain the light. But I can't find a ton of info on that problem to see if it is what we have. I think it was TSB Bulletin SB-06-052) Also, do I have a shot to get this installed at little to no cost?
Thanks

Doing some more searching I've found multiple TSB that seem to relate to this same software problem:
SB-09-040 - Honda: the brake system light is on with a stored trouble code. there is a problem with software. 2007-2009 rdx.
SB-06-052 - Honda: the brake system light is on with a stored trouble code. there is an error in brake system software. 2007 rdx.
Also....CRUD.....I have a Hondata reflash. I guess if this is the problem, I'd be looking at having to have the ECU reflashed by Hondata if I go to an Acura dealer for a relash.
