audio cutting out

I have a 2007 RDX base model. I noticed that after an hour or two driving with the stereo on continuously, the audio starts to cut out. I've had this happen to me on various accounts, whether it's radio, cd, or aux. I travel quite a bit, and I don't like my music loud, so it's not like the stereo is being abused.

Has anyone encountered this? And if there's a remedy? I wonder if the internal amp is overheating?

Any help is appreciated.

I had this issue with 07 base RDX as well. I didn't listen to any CDs in it at the time, but the FM radio was on all the time. My car was still under warranty when it happened so I took it in and they replaced the radio. When your's cuts out, how long does it stay "out"? Mine would just pause every minute or so and the continue playing. Almost like a light skip in a CD. Is your car still under warranty?

yes, it should be. I have 77750 miles on it. It cuts out like skipping cd's. Hm... I should look into taking it to the local dealer here. Did it cost you anything?
