AC climate control

I have a 2010 and when I set the AC to auto I have to set it down to about 60 for it to be comfortable in the car(was only 85 outside today). If I set it around 68 the fan will start out blowing on high and in a few minutes lowers itself and it it still warm in the car. The air coming out is pretty cool, my guess is a sensor is messed up?

Has anyone else run into this problem? Plan on making an appointment next week.

Take 'er in. 68 is just right in my 2007.

Generally speaking you car A/C is only able to lower the air temp by about 10-15 degrees. So if it is 85 outside it should be 70 in the car. Other factors can come into play. If the vehicle sits out in the hot sun for 6-8 hours while you are at work and then you get in it to make your 15min trip home afterwards, it may not have a real chance to cool all that hot material on the inside down to a comfortable temp. The inside of your car can easily reach 125 degrees on a hot day. Tinted windows help dramatically. Mine are 25% all around (only lets in 25% of the visible light).
