20mph Vibration and High Speed Rattle

I have a 2010 Acura RDX FWD with 45k miles on it. I bought it a few months ago and am very pleased except for two issues. First off is a low speed vibration during acceleration from 18 - 22 mph and then goes away. It is noticeable in traffic driving since I go through that speed range often. It doesn't do it when I coast through the speeds or am in a turn. I took it to the dealer and they said it is because the transmission is about to shift and is creating a shudder. This is not the case, if I put it in sport mode and hold the shift off, it still does it, therefore the theory about ready to shift is not viable. I had the dealer look at the inner CV joints for excessive play and he came back with they are fine. Any thoughts on what is causing this? It is not the tires, rims, air pressure. All have been checked, rotated and the tires have been balanced twice - no change.

The second item is a rattle, sounds like under the glove box, but only shows up when driving around 75mph or higher. I thought it might be the body heat shield since there isn't much else under the car. Anybody have a similar problem and a fix?

Any help with either of these would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you.

Our '11 RDX FWD had a bad D/S cv joint. It did not show up while turning but vibrated under hard acceleration. Dealer replaced the joint and problem went away.

That is what I think mine is, an inner D/S CV Joint, however the dealer said they went under the car and checked the play and it is not excessive. I hate to swap out the shaft myself since it is still covered under the drive train warranty, but the dealer doesn't want to check any further. Thanks for your help.

Is there a different Acura dealer in your area? Never hurts to get a 2nd opinion if possible.

My dealer said if this doesn't fix it we'll do the middle one and then the p/s if needed. The d/s fixed the problem. Get a better dealer.
