Winter tires/rims - Canadian drivers

Looking to see if anyone here has ordered the 17" black steelie wheels through Acura with the Michelin X-Ice Lattitude tires? Would like to see some pics of the steel wheels on the RDX as well.

Also, anyone use the Michelin X-Ice Lattitude tires yet in the deep snow and icy conditions of Eastern Canada?

OK, seems to be no one around here from Easter Canada or no one who has any experience with the 17" steel rims/tires I previously mentioned. So has anyone from anywhere used the Michelin X-Ice Lattitudes on their RDX and if so, what were your impressions?

I assume they are among the top 2 winter tires available. I will most-likely order them with the black 17" rims and tire pressure monitors soon to avoid missing out on stock by late fall.

I haven't seen it on a single RDX here and there is quite a few around. The dealer seems to be charging too much for them IMO.

I've used Blizzak's, Hancooks, Alpins and cheapo Canadian Tire winter rubber. All of them were very good and far better than all seasons. The best were the Blizzaks and the worst were the Hancooks (they were the "sport" winters), but still very good. 9/10's as good for about half the price.

I have some stock wheels in great shape I'd consider selling. PM me if interested.

cwepruk,

I can't seem to be able to pm you. I may be interested in your rims. We are talking about the 18" stock RDX rims correct? If so, how much would you be asking for them? And would they include the tpm?

As for the winter tire discussion, from what I am getting from you is that in your experience with different winter tires is that any winter tire is definitely better than no winter tire and that the top brand winter tire (Blizzaks or X-Ice) would only be marginally better than even the worst winter tire you've tried, correct?

Thanks

Yeah, PM's aren't working.

I tried to send you one. Anyways, I have the stock rims, no TPMS and they are in good shape. There is a tiny mark (literally a spec) on each rim where the tire shop removed the tires.

I was asking $800 on Kijiji just to see a response. Shipping to NB on Greyhound is $170 (estimated). I was thinking about $900 shipped.

email me at cwepruk at hotmail dot com and I can send hi res pics (I'm fairly busy this weekend, but I should be able to get you some good pics).

Hey Dogma,

New member, fellow Monctonian RDX owner. Can you provide a little more info on the 17" steelies from Acura? They're available from the dealer? Will probably jump all over them. Not really concerned 'bout looks...more the cost savings and functionality.

Thanks!
