Staying on track
No, I'm not waiting on you to say do the injectors, I'm trying to figure out the implications of doing or not doing them, partly so that I can understand the process and hopefully make better decisions.
cost is the only reason you wouldn't do this if your getting flash pro. and if your getting a down pipe the only way to get the max out of it is to get flash pro. its really a vicious cycle.
well, I've got flash pro, and a downpipe, and this cheap-ass K&N intake mod. I was planning to tune from just that, heh.
But yeah, a vicious cycle. However, I suppose if I get the ETS and the 600s then I can skip the fuel pump at least, and if I don't want to upgrade the turbo, I'll have all the bolt ons then?
What about my guy to make a custom TMIC instead of going with ETS? Or are their fittings just so much better? I mean, this guy fabs up FMICs for turboed Integra drag racers all day.

the only reason I got the ets was because it was available in a group buy. and at the time it looked like the only option. but if your not going to be doing cams ctr and EVERYTHING then ets will do just fine.
definitely not doing cams and such.
really, was planning to stick with just downpipe and flashpro, plus a slightly more opened intake. If I can instead do just downpipe and flashpro, maybe I should go back to stock on the intake snorkel and just tune on that? Is that what's giving me so much extra trouble? How about the heatshield?

Well, I've already got this downpipe from RV-6, and I'm not sure I want to RMA at them.
But I guess here's the operating question, then, almost, which is if I'm not ready to get the ETS intercooler, indeed, should I be returning the pipe?

Well, I guess if you go with just the DP and intercooler that's pretty close to stock. Speaking of intercooler, I will have mine up soon for a price. less then 5k miles on it.
Right now, I was planning on having just the following:
Air filter replaced with K&N drop in in original filter box with the restrictive intake snorkel replaced with 3" performance ducting
RV-6 downpipe
Hondata heatshield
Dyno tune with flashpro.
It seems like GSJake says I should just put these mods on and then check it based on datalogs. TheWrench seems to disagree, and I get the impression that he thinks that this is a dangerous setup for the engine. I guess what I was intending to do is spend the most efficient $1500 on mods for more fun for my daily.

I think I'm breaking into understanding things a little bit better. All right, in for a penny, in for a pound, I suppose, so I'm going to definitely go for injectors. Woo. I figured out that people who NA tune their smaller Hondas go for RDX injectors, and think 410s are too small for FI. So the 410s are sort of barely big enough for the stock setup. There's just not a lot of spare injector capacity. And injector capacity is the primary way that the car is limited, so that it stays well within thermal limits and the like.
So let me ask a more intelligent question: Could theWrench hit his present numbers with 600cc injectors and no fuel pump? I know know for a fact that I will not do a rebuild or an upgraded turbo on this one - so this will remain a bolt-on and tune build.

From what I have read you should be fine with 600's. My build is similar except I have the ets and you have the dp. I also have the CPE intake and ATLP exhaust. I will be getting 600's after some baselines with stock. Then when all my mods are on.

yes I could. i'd be running a higher duty cycle that's all.
So, I posted the relevant datalog over in my datalog thread that I took today. This is with snorkel replace and K&N square filter, Hondata reflash, before downpipe and heatshield. Even with this setup it's a fun drive for sure.
I'll PM you, empty your inbox, make sure it's not full. Some members, even me at one point had the message box full and couldn't receive messages.
It's to bad you bought a welded up, oil soaked, high mile intercooler from "TheWrench116", when I was letting it go for way cheaper basically brand new plus extra's.... Damn, took one day for you to get snaked out of the deal... Anyone reading this, it's still available.
Okay. Well, how did you want to handle it? I'll admit, before I bought it, I didn't know it was welded up. This is clearly becoming a thing; I'd prefer there to not be resentment. Ken, it's true that I was talking to you first, but also you didn't reply for a couple days. Wrench, when you mentioned the intercooler and a price to me, you didn't mention the plug.
Here's how it goes: Ken, I don't feel like TheWrench snaked in. He simply provided a bit better salesmanship.
TheWrench: It's too bad you didn't mention the plug when we were coming to a deal.
So here's what I'm going to do: I'm going to wait and show the intercooler to my mechanic when I get it. If he doesn't like it, I'm sending it back to Wrench, fair enough everyone?
Because if the intercooler is perfectly good, then, well, it's not fair to disparage TheWrench for trying to sell it.
Hopefully this will resolve any drama, mmmkay kids?

P.S. Sorry, your items will be shipped in a Sweet Wise box, I have tons of them from my business. Had to get rid of them...

Hey man, you didn't send a response for a few days after telling me to clear out my inbox (when I had like 2 messages in there). I figured you were no longer interested or something.
You seem to have a real chip on your shoulder about all this.

It felt like you were stringing me along a bit, frankly. You had days and many logons to answer my price and such. I figured, and quite reasonably, you weren't interested. In fact, I was talking to wrench and ken at the same time.
I don't know why you're being like this, but this is a bit of an eyeroller. Character, bro, character...

Also, I really was unimpressed by the way you said 'it's cool, he needs the money' (he'd be happy to admit it, but it's pretty damn snobby to say it the way you messaged to me) but still kept thing going as if it was really bothering you after saying it was cool.
So, why don't we settle on one of the following: Snake /and/ snob - or, as I prefer, we just all say that this was an online misunderstanding, matters very little, and try to be a little more grownup than people arguing about which Pokémon is the best?
