I got in a pretty bad wreck a couple of weeks ago. I am fine, but had the opportunity to pull my ECU out of the car before the insurance company took it away. It has Hondata's Flash on it.

I'm trying to recoup some money since my car was totaled, any ideas of how much I should try to sell the ECU for?? I couldn't find any for sale on-line, so I have no idea where to even start (I would guess $300 since that's the price of the reflash, but the ECU itself should be worth something too?).

Thoughts??

i would say about 350.. price of ecu on ebay is 70 (avg) cant expect to get a full amount of a reflash back some people might not want it.. so 350 sounds like a good solid number

Will the ECU will not work with another RDX? I know you can't swap them on the 911 or M Coupe, not sure about Honda's set-up but I'll bet you'd need to reprogram it for the car.

It will only work for between the years it was made for.

Acura dealers needs to reprogram it along with your keys.
About 30 minutes or less - How do I know this.

I took our my ECU with my reflash and purchase a new ECU and reprogram it.
I still have the ECU with the reflash of my 2011.

Buyer would need to just reconfirm with Hondata if indeed the ECU was reflash by the ECU# just to be in the safe side.

... my ECU part number is 37820-RWC-X56, it is not listed at hondata's webpage. I called them and they said they did not have any reflash options for it.
